Boardwalk Hall Arena 2301 Boardwalk, Atlantic City, NJ, 08401

The mayor of Atlantic City between 1924 and 1929, Edward L. Bader, led an initiative to find the land where to construct the arena, and the building started in 1926. The design of the Hall that lies over a surface of about 456 feet and 310 feet wide was done by Lockwood Greene and architectural firm.

Until 2006, the Hall was used by Miss America pageant for the opening. In 1964, the Democratic National Convention was hosted there in which Lyndon B. Johnson was named candidate for DP in presidential elections of 1964. The same year, the venue hosted a concert of the legendary band The Beatles as part of their first tour in the US. As part of their Steel Wheels Tour, the English rock band The Rolling Stones performed at the hall in 199.

For the first time, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band stopped by the Hall in March 2003. In 2010 and also in 2013, the band Phish performed at the venue in Halloween concert. As part of her MDNA Tour, Madonna stopped by the venue and the concert was attended by a crowd of about 12,207 people.

Lady Gaga performed at the Hall in 2010 and 2011. A concert of her was expected to take place in March 2013, but because of a ship injury the show was cancelled. It is scheduled that she will stop by the venue in 2014 as part of her Artrave: The Artpop Ball Tour. As part of her The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour in 2013, Beyoncé made a performance at the Hall. Many other events and performances have appeared at the venue.
